Texas Family Ranch Raised

Pennridge Ranch is a family owned and operated business in Central Texas. We have been raising cattle over 40 years and often there are 3 generations working side by side. We make genetic decisions to produce high performing cattle that will convert our grasses into protein for your plate. We provide a low stress environment for our cattle that are pasture raised with attention to the health and humane treatment of each animal. In 2020 Pennridge Ranch made the decision to share the wonderful beef that our family has enjoyed for years. We welcome and encourage our customers to pick up your beef from the ranch where you can see the cattle and ranch operation.

Mission

We are a working ranch and are passionate stewards of the land and our cattle. We are continually improving our grasses and program and use progressive methods to improve our cattle to ensure we provide our customers with consistent and dependable quality beef. We ultrasound scan our cattle to determine the Rib Eye Area and the Intramuscular Fat (Marbling). This allows us the opportunity to make genetic mating decisions that provide our customers high quality beef.

Pennridge Ranch beef differs from your wet aged grocery store beef. Our beef is all dry aged for 14+ days. The dry aging is a process that tenderizes the meat and essentially draws moisture out of the meat. This causes about a 20% reduction of meat but creates a deeper flavor. The dry aging process causes the beef's natural enzymes to break down the connective tissues in the meat.

The end result is much more tender beef. Our wholesome beef is grass fed, grain finished for optimal flavor and marbling. You will taste the difference in our dry aged ground beef. This 80/20 blend consists only of clean trim. Nothing added other than the best beef!

Don't recognize all of the cuts? The Texas beef producers funded a campaign to provide research for new cuts that beef consumers would enjoy. Pennridge Ranch honors each individual animal and strives to utilize ALL portions of the animal with minimal waste. We hope you enjoy the opportunity explore some wonderfully flavored new cuts.

Our History

1977

Pete Sr. and Kay DeLeeuw founded Pennridge Ranch in Brenham, Texas. Soon after, they began raising Brangus cattle.  They chose Brangus for their heat tolerance of the Texas heat and also for the great beef quality.

1994

Pete Sr. entered the cutting horse business because of the horses' athletic ability and natural cow sense.  Breeding our brood mares to leading cutting horse stallions allows us to use our horses for low stress cattle work.

2011

The ranch was relocated to Paige, Texas to expand our operation.  Pennridge Ranch is family owned and operated.  We are steward of the land and are committed to the conservation of our natural resources and the care of our animals.

2020

With over 43 years raising cattle, Pennridge Ranch Meats was established to share the wonderful meat our family has enjoyed over the years and to offer customers the highest quality product direct from the ranch.
